Better Education and Better ECD centers for the Children of Kyrgyzstan Project held Training of Trainers workshop

Better Education and Better ECD centers for the Children of Kyrgyzstan Project has conducted Training of Trainers workshop with the participation of 20 trainees from Chui and Osh Provinces.

The TOT engaged participants in a comprehensive, three day distributive learning process that built the knowledge and skills required to effectively train educators to deliver assistance in improving the quality of education and upbringing of children in pre-school educational organizations.

This intensive 3-day workshop included Development of Children From Birth to 7 years; The Convention on the Rights of the Child, Types and Impact of Violence on Child Development; Modern Approaches to New Methods of Teaching; The Role of the Teacher in the Process of Interaction with Children; Children with Special Needs; Child Developing Environment; Cooperation with Family and Community and Planning of the Pedagogical Process.

Session on Types and Impact of Violence on Child Development was included in the content of TOT workshop, because of frequent cases of violence against children lately.  Moreover trainees noted that given information on the violence towards children was relevant and necessary.

Ten selected trainees from TOT will be engaged in conducting capacity building trainings for 200 ECD teachers of Chui and Osh Provinces.
