DFID representatives visit project team and the women’s groups in Tajikistan

On March 17&19, 2014, Heloise Troc, DFID Livelihoods Adviser, and Mahvash Kalandarova, DFID Program Officer, met with “Women’s Wealth and Influence” project team in Kurgan-Tube and Kulob sub-offices, respectively. The purpose of these meetings were to discuss progress, challenges and future perspectives of WW&I project. Project team recommended to expand the future directions of the project in sensitizing the groups for both agricultural and non-agricultural income-generating activities as well as leadership development, financial and business management skills. While visiting the groups, the women showed their readiness to grow and become profitable by improving their knowledge and skills.
