Women of Rudaki and Shakhrinav Districts celebrate the Navruz

Navruz is a most favorite holiday for old and young alike. The members of 20 women’s groups of Guliston Village, Guliston Jamoat of Rudaki District and Qahramon Village, Sabo Jamoat of Shakhrinav District invited the neighborhoods to share their cooking skills, compete for the best national dishes, have fun, entertain and enjoy delicious food and warm “sumulak” – a sweet paste made from germinated wheat. While tasting the sumulak, the women make a wish to continue in the women’s groups for another year to which, the locals say, will come true.
