Entrepreneurial activities by women of Panj District

On the other side, the women’s group “Gulbakhor” in Saroi Kamar Village, Namuna Jamoat of Panj District, purchased dishsets that is used for serving food during various events. The group rents their dishsets to outsiders.

 Fotima Toshpulatova, a teacher and a nurse, said that the group of 21 members also helps in emergency situations. Recently, the group helped a woman to deliver her baby at the hospital.

The women’s groups “Aziza”, “Gulruhsor” and “Rushan” have recently opened a sewing shop and are providing quality sewing services of all kinds in Navobod Village, Mehvar Jamoat of Panj District. These women make wedding dresses, school uniforms, Tajik mattresses, pillows and gahvora (cradle) bedding. “We are proud of ourselves that we were able to come together, to support and believe in each other”, the women say with a smile.
