Opening ceremony of ECD centre #148, Kok-Djar microregion, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan April 16, 2014

The project funded by Save the Children Korea. Highly honoured guests from SCI have been invited to the opening ceremony – South and Central Asia Director of SCI Mike Novell, Central Asia Director Thomas Wimber, Deputy Central Asia Director/Head of Kyrgyzstan Office Faroghat Mirzoeva and also local authorities – Head of Oktyabrskii district/Mayor’s office Kamaldin Toktosartov, Head of City department of Education Saule Djakshylykova, representatives of Korean Cultural Centre and parents as the local community. 

368 children of different nationalities (Kyrgyz, Koreans, Russians, Uigurs, Ukrainians) are attending the ECD. 

Korean corner and Korean language room are also opened at the kindergarten. Korean Cultural Centre provided free lessons twice a week for children at the ECD centre.
