Women’s Wealth and Influence Project women shared best practice in effective group cash management and engagement in income generating activities
WGs “Nurbonu”, “Navbahor”, “Omad” and “Niso” shared their experience in effective management of pooled group cash in order to get income. WGs’ leaders and members engaged in dressmaking, gold embroidering, carpet waving, purchase and sale clothing and livestock breeding. “Our WG Niso consists of 12 women. We collect money and use them for dressmaking and gold embroidering” said Dussanova Niso, Leader of the group.
“I’m a member of WG Nurbonu. I have 5 children. Using the group money I launched a small cook shop at a local market. For the next year I’ve planned to arrange higher education of my daughter at a university” continued another WG member.
Toshpulotova Sohiba, Leader of WG “Navbahor” and at the same time an active woman of the community, today is managing carpet and atlas waving and gold embroidery workshops and is teaching young women of the district.
