WW&I Project women’s groups learn men’s profession

On November 3, 2016 women’s groups in Vose District, M. Vaisov jamoat, Chorbogh village demonstrated transformative gender role by learning men’s professions through vocational courses. 34 women and girls from two women’s groups have mastered professions which had been hold only by men before, and which were in high demand as majority skilled men left abroad for remittances.

Women’ Wealth and Influence Project women’s groups demonstrate productive cooperation with local authorities

On October 20, 2016 women’s groups (WG) from 15 target districts of Tajikistan shared with local authorities their experience in addressing their needs at household and community level. The event was organized by Save the Children’s Women’s Wealth and Influence (WW&I) Project funded by DFID in the cultural center of Rudaki district.

Women’ Wealth and Influence Project women’s groups advocates establishing families free of domestic violence

On October 18, 2016 women’s groups (WG) from 15 target districts of Tajikistan participated in a Women Day event dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence in Baljuvon District. More than 50 women came together to discuss the nature of domestic violence, ways of preventing this negative phenomenon, and to share their personal experience to contribute in reuniting young families in their communities.

Women’s Wealth and Influence Project women contribute to the improvement of education environment for girls

With the support of Save the Children’s DFID funded Women’s Wealth and Influence (WW&I) Project, women groups in Panj District organized and held Women Day Event dedicated to the improvement of education environment for children, especially for girls. Women group “Mehrubon” in jamoat Namuna, village Somoni hosted more than 70 people from other women’s groups and the representatives of local government to share their group activity toward improvement of education environment for girls through ensuring them with quality and affordable school uniforms.
