MOBILIZING ACTION TOWARD CHILDREN’S HEALTH

An innovative action on children’s health rights was held to mark Children’s Day by the Save the Children health team on May 30, 2014.

Over 450 schoolchildren from six schools of Jilikul District participated in this event that took place at the House of Culture. The collective health action was promoted in partnership with the Ministry of Health & Social Protection and the Local Government of Jilikul District.

The schoolchildren engaged in significant information-sharing on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, including their desire to improve their knowledge of children’s rights and their position within the society. Children also shared their talents by performing folk dancing, singing and creating drawings.

Deputy of Jilikul Government, Ms. Mehrinisso Nasrulloeva, and representative of the Ministry of Health & Social Protection, Mr. Mehrojiddin Kholov, highlighted this excellent event that increases awareness amongst parents and adults and promotes the well-being of our nation’s children.
