Gender Inclusion

On June 12 & 13, 2014, women from 17 different districts of Tajikistan met at an exchange visit for participants in the DFID-funded Women’s Wealth and Influence (WW&I) project. Women travelled to Tursunzoda and Shakhrinav Districts from Vakhsh, Jomi, Qumsangir, Khuroson, Rumi, Jilikul, Panj, Khovaling, Temurmalik, Baljuvon, Shuroobod, Hamadoni, Vose, Dangara, Turzonzoda, Rudaki and Shakrinav Districts.

Gulchehra joined a women’s group in her village, Karotog Village, Tursunzoda District, Tajikistan about a year ago. These women groups were set up with the support of Save the Children.

A high level delegation from the British government learned the secrets of success of women’s groups in Khuroson District on Monday.
