Opening ceremony of ECD centre #148, Kok-Djar microregion, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan April 16, 2014

It was official opening ceremony of ECD Centre #148 in Kok-Djar microregion, Bishkek after general reconstruction of the whole building. The ECD centre #148 built in 1978 and since then they didn’t have any reconstruction and repair.

DISCOVER LANGUAGE, DISCOVER THE WORLD – RURAL WOMEN FORGE AHEAD WITH PLANS

On Friday, April 11, 2014, an estimated 120 women of all ages from 17 districts of the country participated in a local women’s event entitled “Discover language. Discover the world.” This event, the first of its kind since 1972, was organized by women’s groups of the Uzbek-speaking Lakai communities of Navbahor Village, Dusti Jamoat, Jomi District.

Conflict Sensitive Project Management

On April 2, 2014 Save the Children organized a one-day workshop on ‘Integration of Conflict Sensitivity into Project Management’ which took place at the Hotel Avesto, in Dushanbe. About 20 project managers, Health Life Style Center representatives and community leaders participated to the workshop conducted by Larissa Mettler (Save the Children Switzerland), a leading expert in the field of Conflict Sensitive Project Management, and Dr. Gulchehra Boboeva (Health Program Manager, Save the Children Tajikistan).

Ensuring service provision to children of migrant families

In close cooperation with the International Organisation for Migration, Branch of «Save the Children International» in the Republic of Tajikistan has conducted four days orientation workshop and Kick Off sessions with newly recruited 6 Lawyers and 6 Income Generation Speiclaists during the first week of April 2014 in the Adults Education Center of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment.
